Mr Chubs

I love this chunky little boy, and just had to share these adorable pictures!

He is just so squeezable!!

RIP Timber 7/18/2011-10/23/2012

We try so very hard to stay in touch with all of the families who take home our puppies, we love seeing pictures and getting updates on each and every one of them. Sadly a recent update on one puppy, just from last years litter, left us deeply hurt and sad. Little Timber was so loved by his family, he was sweet, smart and a big lover. It hurts us so much to say that he was shot a few nights ago. In his short life he touched so many people in so many ways. You are in our hearts Timber!!

Here is a poem shared by his family that is a perfect fit for this situation.

"Lend Me a Pup"

I will lend to you for awhile a puppy, God said,
For you to love him while he lives
and to mourn for him when he is gone.
Maybe for twelve or fourteen years,

or maybe for two or three.
But will you, till I call him back
take care of him for me?

He'll bring his charms to gladden you
and should his stay be brief
you'll always have his memories
as solace for your grief .
I cannot promise that he will stay,
since all from Earth return,
But there are lessons taught below
I want this pup to learn.

I've looked the whole world over
in search of teachers true
And from the folk that crowd life's land
I have chosen you.
Now will you give him all your love
Nor think the labor vain
Nor hate me when I come to take my pup back again.

I fancied that I heard them say,
"Dear Lord Thy Will Be Done,"
For all the joys this pup will bring,
the risk of grief you'll run.
Will you shelter him with tenderness
Will you love him while you may
And for the happiness you'll know forever grateful stay.

But should I call him back
much sooner than you've planned
Please brave the bitter grief that comes
and try to understand.
If, by your love, you've managed
my wishes to achieve,
In memory of him that you've loved,
cherish every moment with your faithful bundle,
and know he loved you too.

Zander Cyclocross race #2

Zander has officially become in LOVE with cyclocross racing and keeps asking to go again. There are races every weekend but we are unable to make it to all of them. Here are the photos from his 2nd race. He was much much more into it and actually went kind of fast. He didnt even come in last!! YAY GOOOOO ZANDER!!!

It is Auntie Maria's job to pin his number! She is a pro, makes him look good!

Practice round:

Race Time:

So serious:

Watching out for bikers passing him by.

Can you see his speed in this one?

Waiting for his sticker. :)

And that is how its done, Zander style!

We were expecting rain, and lucked out with a dry early afternoon. Zander was fully prepared though, with his new fleece lined rain pants I made him, and rain coat on stand by. I really was just going to buy him a pair of rain pants, but apparently they are impossible to find. Not a single store we went to carried any rain pants for kids. Not even the baby store. Maybe I found a new business. ;)

Pumpkin Patch and Caramel Apples!

The Pumpkin Patch is something we look forward to every year. This year it was just as exciting. Scott and Justine came up to go with us and made it that much more enjoyable. It is always nice to have a couple extra hands and feet to run after the boys in a place with a bunch of people. After enjoying last years trip to Bizi farms, that is where we chose to go again this year. Best part is, its only about 5 min from our house. :)

We first came to the hay pyramid, Zander wanted to climb, Drezden was not interested, which surprised me because he is such a climber. But I think it was the 30+ kids who were also climbing.

Then some Hay Bale maze fun.

There was a petting zoo set up, the boys love animals so much. Maybe we should have more farm animals here.

Drezden loved the chickens!!

Corn Kernel pit! This was great, way better then a sand box!

They had these great pedal tractors with trailers, the boys loved them!

They had this nice area set up to capture a quick family photo.

This year Zander was more then excited to go on the pony ride. I think it was his favorite part of the pumpkin patch.

Lastly we took the hay bale ride out too the pumpkin patch, time to get our pumpkins!

After the pumpkin patch, we headed home. The boys took a nap and it was caramel apple time! It was dip in caramel, dip in crushed Oreo cookie, drizzle with white and dark chocolate and top with gummy bears. :) Delicious!

Zander soooooo excited to get started on his apple.

Completed apples. Oh yes these were delicious

Pumpkin carving coming soon!!
