September in photos

More from September!

Daddy reading bedtime stories. I think it is their favorite part of every day!

I LOVE wool clothing on kids, especially babies. It was a little "chilly" this morning so I pulled out some of the wool pants I had saved from the boys.. OH they are darling on miss Katara with this sweet little shirt I found.... I love fall, love cooler weather!

She even started playing peek a boo... Love her!

I got a few photos of the lovely eclipse

Toy bins, not just for toys....

Katara's 7 month photos... With failing photography equipment I missed my chance to catch her 6month photos... so here are some 7 month ones, a day early.

Syler is head over heals for his little sister.

Apple: fresh, local, perfect for the teething baby!

Katara's First foods!

Now that Katara is fully sitting up on her own, we have started offering her food. We always start this pretty slow and focus on the learning how to eat that happens versus actually eating a lot of it. We feed her regular food that we eat and just let her go to town.

Her official first food was Avocado.
Here she is exploring her avocado. She tasted is a few times but mostly spread it around her tray.

A little video of the action:

Zander Beach trip!

Zander requested a beach trip for his birthday. So We headed out to Pacific City, parked at my families cabin and walked down to the beach. We had a wonderful time, included staying for sunset and roasting hotdogs and marshmallows over the fire.

Love these special little birthday trips. Prepare for photo overload! (these are somewhat out of order because I took 2 cameras with me)

Did I mention how crazy kids are?!?! They all just wanted to be in the ocean THE WHOLE TIME. It was too cold for me, but they seemed totally fine with it. Good thing we had a fire to warm up to afterward.

Here is a little video of the fun!

It was forecasted to be overcast and 65 and we ended up with a sunny 72 degree day. It was absolutely lovely being there on the empty beach just as a family to celebrate all Zander is!!
