National Get outdoors Day

Fort Vancouver participated in a national event called "Get outdoors Day" It is designed to encourage families to get their kids outside and back into nature. We dont exactly have a problem with that, so this was just another fun outdoor event for us. We were lucky to have Scott, Justine and Amelia with us for the weekend too, made it that much more fun!

This was a cute little fishing area, right across from it they had a big pool of real fish that they were letting the kids catch and take home to eat.... Zander wasn't interested, I think its time to talk to him about exactly where meat comes from.

After catching a fake fish the gentleman at the booth told them what kind of fish they caught and how to recognize if it was farmed or wild.

Making some stamp scenes

Frisbee golf

Syler zonked out on daddy's back pretty quick.

Checking out some cool locally collected rocks

Coloring stickers about saving the rivers from pollution.

Finally we got to see Zander use a bow. He does it all the time at Trackers Earth but we never get to see it. He needed a little help because these bows were quite a bit larger then what he is used to, but he still showed us his great skill.

It was a great day, a lot of awesome activities and events we didnt even get around to doing because there was so much.
