Step 1: Pack up, load truck, Yard sale!

Its time... Time to prep for moving. We are closing on the sale of our home Friday and will be staying at my parents in a camper trailer before making the trek up to Alaska. So step one was to pack up everything we wanted to take to Alaska, but that we would not need in the camper trailer. We opted to purchase some Small and Large uhaul boxes to make packing easier. It was a fantastic idea and we were able to get everything we needed to take in less boxes then the horse trailer we will be taking can fit. HURRAY!!

Saturday Ben came and brought a 15ft moving truck to transport our things to McMinnville to be moved into the horse trailer that we are taking. We had all the boxes ready and lined up in the garage. Took us less then an hour to load the truck with all the little hands helping!

Sunday we held a yard sell. Sold most of our big items and a handful of random things that needed to go. It was lots of work but worth the extra money for our trip. All the yard sale left overs are getting donated today.

This home is now just a house, basically empty, sleeping on the floor these last few days. It was a perfect home for us for almost 6 years! The new family will enjoy the play structures for their kids, the garden of home grown food and the delicious eggs from our hens. We are happy this will become the perfect home for another family with small children.

We will always cherish our years here and the first home for many of our children, but new beginnings are just as sweet and we cannot wait to make our Alaska house a home.

Probably wont get an update ip again until the weekend, so watch for it, I will be sure to include some photos.
