I remember it like it was yesterday, my heart pounding in anticipation, excitement, love and joy. Knowing that today was going to be the day my first child was coming into this world.
There are so many emotions that come flooding back to me as I look back on the day Zander was born. We had tried so very long to get him. He was our little surprise miracle baby. Unexpected but wanted so very badly!! His 28 hour labor was worth every moment!
But this little guy is not a baby anymore, he is three, THREE!!! I cannot believe how he has changed so much in 3 years. The first few years of a child's life so much development takes place that they literally amaze you every single day! He is stepping out of baby/toddler hood and into true childhood. So much around him to explore and discover, which is exactly what he does every single day.
Zander is my confident but reserved child who would rather you come visit in person then talk to you on the phone. He is cautious yet curious, a leader but also a follower, an athlete and a bookworm, a scientist and a dreamer. The world is his to discover and enjoy and that is exactly what he does.
He is an amazing big brother, so loving and caring! I love when his face just lights up when Drezden wakes up from his nap and is ready to play. First thing in the morning he always comes in to check and see if Syler is awake yet because he wants to give him good morning love. <3 I really could not ask for a sweeter boy even if I tried.
Now onto highlight facts for this three year old.
* He loves all things cars, trains and planes
* His favorite color is Green
* His favorite breakfast is Chocolate Chip Pancakes ( cant blame him there )
* He has 3 disney "cars" tshirts that are worn almost on a daily basis. ( I sometimes leave them in the bottom of the dirty laundry just so he will spend a day or 2 wearing some of his other shirts)
* He loves riding his "Bicycle" which is a balance bike ( we hope to enter him into some "for fun" races this fall:
*He loves to snuggle, hug, kiss and get his back rubbed. ( totally his daddy's son )
If you were to spend a day with Zander it would likely go like this:
* Wake up, get dressed.
* Play time while waiting for Drezden and Syler
* Breakfast (usually cereal, he loves cereal)
*"School" ( We dont really do school, but have planned fun activities or games to play that are learning based. Focusing mostly on self discovery and exploration)
*Play outside
*Break for lunch
*Nap for Drezden, sometimes Zander, but if not napping then this is "big boy" activity time. Zander picks what activity he wants to do, usually one that is too hard for Drezden to participate in.
*Play time
*Help make dinner
*Dinner
*Play with daddy
*Read bedtime books
* brush teeth,
* Jammies and overnight diapers on.
*Hugs, kisses, snuggles and loves
*Song sung by mommy, when requested.
HAPPY THIRD BIRTHDAY ZANDER!!!!!
