A busy, productive, fun filled weekend

We sure had an exciting weekend around here! We had just recently discussed moving our garden to a larger corner of the property so that I could plant more. :) Who doesnt want a bigger garden? Especially with 3 growing BOYS around here! 

Perfect plan, then I saw it, the shade. The shade that covered my new garden area until close to 1 in the afternoon. This is not ok!!! How do we solve this problem? Easy we remove the tree that is causing the shade.

It was/is a pretty big tree. So who better to call up for assistance then the expert in tree falling, Paul's dad, Ben.

 We were so thankful for Ben's help with this project. While he was here he also pruned our Maple and our plum tree.

Then Sunday we cleaned up the front yard of Maple prunings. We even got some extra help from Paul's sister Maria and her husband Seth. 

I think Paul's favorite part was using the chainsaw :) That also happened to be Syler's least favorite part. 

All in all we had a nice productive weekend!

Thanks to Ben, Liz, Maria and Seth for all the help you gave us with this project. Next time we will have a splitting party for that giant tree in my backyard that some one just knocked over and left! ;)
